Recommended workflow

01

Define the goal

Decide whether you need to view a file before production, share a preview for client approval, check stitch count for pricing, or inspect thread color data before ordering thread.

02

Prepare your file

Collect the embroidery file from your digitizing software, production partner, or customer. The viewer supports PES, DST, JEF, VP3, EXP, HUS, XXX, EMD, and related formats.

03

Review the result

Check the stitch preview, metadata, and thread color data. Verify that scale, dimensions, and color assumptions match your production requirements before proceeding.

04

Move to the next step

Download, share, revise, or send to production as needed. If conversion is required, continue with Image to Embroidery or contact support.

Quality & production

Preview before you stitch

The embroidery viewer provides a useful pre-production check — stitch count, color count, and dimensions visible at a glance. Use it to catch obvious issues before a file reaches the machine.

A browser preview does not replace a physical test stitch. Fabric, stabilizer, needle, thread, hoop size, and machine settings all affect the final stitched result. For important production runs, always test on the same material first.

Privacy & support

File uploads and data handling

Files you upload to the viewer are processed to generate the stitch preview and extract metadata. For details on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

If the viewer does not behave as expected, contact support@stitchpilot.ai with the file format, browser, and a short description of the issue. Do not include account credentials in support messages.

Embroidery viewer — common questions

What is the StitchPilot.ai Embroidery Viewer?

The StitchPilot.ai Embroidery Viewer lets you open PES, DST, JEF, VP3, and other embroidery files in the browser without installing software. It displays a stitch preview and shows metadata including stitch count, jump count, color count, and physical dimensions.

Do I still need to review the result before stitching?

Yes. The viewer provides a useful pre-production check, but you should also verify scale, fabric type, thread assumptions, and machine constraints before starting a production run.

Can a preview image replace a production test stitch?

No. A browser preview is useful for communication and quick quality checks, but a physical test stitch is still recommended before important production runs. Fabric, stabilizer, needle, thread, and machine settings all affect the final result.

Which embroidery file formats does the viewer support?

The viewer supports PES, DST, JEF, VP3, EXP, HUS, XXX, EMD, and several other common machine embroidery formats. Upload a file to see format-specific metadata and a stitch path preview.

Who can I contact if the viewer does not work as expected?

Contact support@stitchpilot.ai with the file format, browser, and a short description of the issue so the support team can investigate.

Use StitchPilot.ai to continue the embroidery file viewer workflow. Start with the most relevant tool, review the output carefully, and keep your original artwork or embroidery source file for future revisions.
